Practice Rooms
The Hilton Chapel, as well as the De Vargas & Zia C rooms of the Eldorado Hotel, will serve as practice rooms throughout the conference according to the following schedule:
Wednesday, October 26
5:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Thursday, October 27
7:00 am – 9:00 pm
Friday, October 28
7:00 am – 9:00 pm
Saturday, October 29
7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Each practice room will contain an upright piano, bench, and 1 music stand. Performers who require additional stands for rehearsal must provide their own.
Practice room reservations will be taken at the registration desk (not in advance of the conference) on a first-come, first-served basis. These rooms are restricted to rehearsals specifically related to this conference. Those rehearsing are allowed a maximum of 30 minutes per presentation (not per person) each day. Preference will be given to those whose presentations are scheduled on the day of sign-up. Unfortunately the schedule is too tight to promise anyone practice time in the presentation room itself. We ask that you display the utmost in professional courtesy regarding piano usage.
Rehearsals for the Performances of New Music series and CMS Performers’ Showcase:
The practice rooms detailed above have been established primarily for presenters offering 25-minute lecture-recitals and performances in response to the Call for Performances & Lecture-Recitals. Specific times have been allotted this year for set-up and rehearsal in the concert space related to the Performances of New Music and CMS Performers’ Showcase programs according to the following schedule:

Concert Begins: 1:30 p.m.
Performances of New Music I: Scores w/Composer-Provided Performers
