I grew up in Brazil surrounded by musicians and music was always my first love. I believe that providing opportunities for musical learning can create a happier community that is rich with cultural, social, and intellectual diversity. The foundation was created to support cultural projects, educate, develop, and preserve the roots of Brazilian Music.

One of the principles of sustainable development is that Cultural diversity is a rich asset for individuals and societies (UNESCO, 2001). With this thought in mind, is an honor being the Vice President of BMF for the reason that I will be able to help protect, promote and maintain Brazilian Music cultural diversity in the USA, because these are essential requirement for sustainable development for the benefit of present and future generations.

Brazilian Music is my foundation, I grew up in a musical family and was lucky to have the access to amazing material since I was a little kid. We are building a place where we will not only teach our music and diffuse our culture, but we will help people around the globe through Brazilian music, create projects to music available to poorer areas, not just helping kids and adults to find a new path, but to help the world itself.

I moved to New York from São Paulo and founded Brazil Station in 2003 as a way to bridge two nations deep in character and culture. The school allowed countless people to learn about Brazilian language, history and music. I am glad to join BMF board as a secretary, and participate in its vision to help people learn more about Brazilian music history and foster the future of Brazilian music. I hope to help BMF achieve its goals, and also expand its reach in the community. Brazilian music is inspiring!
