School policy

 Private Lesson Policy:

  • In the event that you cannot make a scheduled lesson, you must notify us by email ([email protected]) or phone (917)400-1578 at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule with no cancellation fee. Cancellation less than 48 hours in advance (or not showing up for a lesson) results in the loss of full payment for the lesson or the deduction of 1 lesson from your pre-paid block of lessons.

  • If a lesson cannot take place due to a teacher’s absence you will be notified (by phone and/or email) and credit will be issued for that lesson.

 Group Class Policy:

  • If a student is absent he/she is eligible to receive a 10% off the regular price for a 1/2 hr makeup private lesson for the missing class. Makeup lessons must be scheduled within the 10 week schedule of the course.

  • Once a makeup lesson is scheduled the “private lesson policy” applies.

  • If a student wishes to have a longer makeup lesson they can pay for the additional time. Any missed course materials can be emailed as per student’s request.

  • If a teacher must be absent, the class will either have a substitute teacher or that class will be postponed until the following week. In the event that a class is be postponed, students will be notified by phone and/or email. You will NOT lose a class. The class will still have the 10 sessions. The class will be extended and end at a later date.

  • A class start date may be pushed to start at a later date if there are not enough students enrolled to begin the class. We will do our best to notify by phone and/or email as soon as possible in a situation of this sort.

  • There is no refund once a class begins. If a student chooses to withdraw from a class once it has begun only school credit will be issued for the remaining classes.

  • You must notify us by email ([email protected]) or by phone             (917-400-1578) to request to withdraw from class.

Gift Certificate Policy:

  • Gift certificates do not expire. Once a gift certificate is redeemed all other policies apply. You must request a refund within 30 days of the date of purchase to receive a full or partial refund as long as the gift certificate has not been used for a group class that has begun.
