The Brazilian Music Foundation School of Music, is now creating a new program dedicated to helping young pianists in Brazil.
“Music talent in Brazil is abundant, but many young musicians do not have access to the resources and opportunities they need to develop their talents and pursue careers in classical music. For that reason we are creating possibilities for these young musicians to learn and succeed in life through music education”, says Max Barros, artistic director of BMF.
Madalena Sousa, Founder and president of BMF announced that the program will provide full scholarships to nurture and develop the talents of young low-income Brazilian pianists, and to provide them with the skills, support, and opportunities they need to succeed in the competitive world of classical music. By offering high-quality piano instruction, master classes, performance opportunities, travel expenses and mentorship, we aim to inspire and empower our students to reach their full potential as musicians and artists.
PROGRAM
Piano Instruction
Participants will benefit from personalized piano lessons and master classes led by experienced teachers, focusing on enhancing both technical skills and musical expression. The program will offer a hybrid format, combining online and in-person sessions, running nine months each year.
Performance Opportunities
BMF will provide participants with various platforms to showcase their talent, including recitals, concerts, competitions, and master classes.
These performance opportunities are designed to build confidence and cultivate a strong stage presence.
Music Theory and History
Participants will engage in lessons on music theory and history, enriching their understanding of classical music. This comprehensive education aims to develop well-rounded musicians with a deep appreciation for the art form.
Mentorship and Guidance
Participants will have access to mentorship from seasoned musicians who will offer valuable advice and support. This guidance will help them navigate the complexities of a professional music career.
Networking and Career Development
Participants will have the chance to connect with fellow musicians, music educators, and industry professionals. These networking opportunities will foster relationships and open doors to potential career paths.
English Lessons
Participants will receive weekly online English lessons, equipping them with language skills essential for networking and career advancement in a globalized music industry.

Certificates
Participants will receive annual certificates recognizing their completion of lessons and master classes, marking their progress and achievements throughout the program.
The Brazilian Music Foundation (BMF) has a long history of supporting disadvantaged children in Brazil through the program “The Future of Our Children,” established in 2015 by Madalena Sousa, BMF’s Founder, CEO, and President. Additionally, she launched the BMF School of Music (BMFSOM) in New York City to teach Brazilian music, rhythms, and styles.

Each student you sponsor will receive a full scholarship, covering lessons, transportation, meals, and performances in Brazil. For performances in the U.S. and other countries, additional sponsorship opportunities are available to cover travel expenses.

– $1,000 – Receive special party invitations, meet the teachers, get tickets to BMF concerts, plus all benefits below.
